Insurance wants $1000+ instead of the normal $300 for one box!?
Hi! So I’ve been getting monthly boxes of mounjaro for over 6 months now. Insurance covers more when I get monthly boxes instead of 3 months at a time and I’ve been paying around $300 a month. Now insurance is charging me $1,000+ for one box and idk what to do. I called insurance and they said the pharmacy must’ve been running it through some third party care credit thing 🥲 but they can’t give me any info on that cause they don’t see it. Just that they see it ran insurance for the full payment and to call the pharmacy. So I call pharmacy and they were super rude and saying they keep getting an error and only ran it through my insurance. So now I don’t know what to do. I have not hit my deductible yet but have only been paying $350 max for monthly boxes and now insurance wants the full $1,000+ for a months supply. Please help :(
