Hey brains trust, just opening up here for any ideas.
As title states, I have a Legion Pro 7, Gen 9.
I got it secondhand from a guy and it ran well for months, but then started having a few keys in a cluster stop working.
On inspection, we could see there had been a past spill thay created a gummy residue. Instead of pulling that front panel apart, I ordered a Lenovo replacement keyboard, panel, touchpad etc.
I paid a professional shop for the labour to replace it.
This made everything work (except initially an issue with the touchpad, which I fixed by uninstalling driver and restarting to force reinstall of driver)
But then, noticed games became absolutely unplayable. Even navigating menus was a nightmare. Opening Lenovo Vantage was even tripping it out.
I reinstalled graphics driver and did various things including DDU uninstall in safe mode, rolled back to older stable graphics drivers.
Then it seemed to get even worse. Having a really baggy glitch experience even in the lock screen of windows.
Having instant shutdown after 2 seconds of logging into desktop.
So, I used bootable USB to clean wipe and reinstall windows. This stopped all that shutdown nonsense but games no better.
I reformatted and installed Windows 10, still having the same problems.
Whay could this be? Are we looking at hardware now?
Ps. Still reads 4090 GPU, still reads RAM, have tried forcing discrete GPU only, on some browser based benchmarking it seems to run ok?
Any ideas?
