Hi everyone,

I’m due to start soon and I’ve been told I’ll be working as a passport examiner within the Home Office.

I just wanted to ask people already in similar roles — what is the day-to-day work actually like? Is it mainly desk-based processing or customer facing? How are the workload, targets and work-life balance overall?

Would appreciate any honest advice or experiences. Thanks!
