Am I doing this right?

What kind of bullshit is this? For a $2500 toilet from Costco it doesnt come with the correct hardware for US market. The threads for this thing doesnt work with typical 1/2” compression threads. Toto tech support said I’d need to add a 1/2” threaded female adapter at the wall to use this shut off valve, which is ridiculous and the clients surely wont like the look of that.

The other solutions is to use a 1/2x1/2” compression valve and connect the hose directly to the valve, bypassing Toto’s valve and losing out the benefit of the built-in filter.

Am I retarded or this is all on Toto’s?
