I backed a remote control lawn mower on Kickstarter a few years ago (Mowrator), fully expecting it to be one of those things you use twice and forget about.
I’m now on my third season with it… and this thing is honestly ridiculous in the best way.
I’ve rolled it multiple times on steep terrain and it just keeps going
I’ve used it on hills I can barely walk up without slipping
It’s literally pulled me in a wheelbarrow (I’m ~225 lbs)
I’ve run over small locust trees with it and it didn’t care
At one point I may or may not have used it to get revenge on a yellow jacket nest.
What surprised me most isn’t just that it works—it’s that it handles all the stuff I used to avoid.
Mowing used to be one of those chores I’d put off all week. Now it’s more like… I grab the remote and knock it out without thinking twice.
I get why people think a remote control lawn mower sounds like a gimmick. I did too.
But after 3 seasons with this Mowrator, I’d honestly have a hard time going back.
Anyone else here actually tried one long-term? Curious if I just got lucky or if these things are all built like tanks.
