I genuinely just want to try and get an understanding of what Tony sees in Dedrick. You can just tell by the crowds reaction/ pop from the crowd when he comes out last that it’s quite obvious 75% of the KT fan base does not enjoy or find his comedy funny in the slightest. I understand it kinda being difficult to just kick someone off after just making them a regular but the whole regularrship on the first appearance was genuinely the stupidest thing I’ve seen in KT yet. A golden ticket? Sure… a secret show spot? Sure… but a regular spot on the first ever appearance is just insane to me. Yes the set was decent and got a lot of pop from the crowd but it was quite clear the next week that this whole “Whatcha know about *blank*” wasn’t gonna work with the audience, and since that set. It has been nothing but downhill spirals of sets. Every set doesn’t even seem to be about jokes. More so just taking jabs at people for something that he has newly acquired since becoming a KT regular. It’s cringe, and it’s even worse when you watch people throughout the episode who KILL and don’t even get a secret show spot yet Dedrick got a regular spot on a first ever set and supposedly after “40+” signups. Idk if it’s just me, but I dont buy that shit one bit. It seemed to be just the perfect scenario for Tony. A black comedian to take Kams spot, happens to be Kams cousin. Happens to have signed up “40+” times before getting on. Happens to have the same quirks as Kam. It’s just so cringe. I hope Tony comes to his senses sooner than later.
