Hi all,

I'm flying from Beijing to Hong Kong on Air China and then need to fly to Sydney on Cathay. The flight I want (so I don't have 8 hours to kill) leaves 2.5 hours after the flight arrives in Hong Kong which is obviously very rushed. Will I be able to through-check my bag with Air China in Beijing or am I out of luck? Tickets booked separately.
