I need one more sociology elective to graduate with an econ/soc double major by the end of fall. I'm currently signed up for principles of econometrics, Sociological Research Methods with Carolyn Liebler, and Social Science Fiction with Austin Luzbetak. For my final class I'm torn between
Soc 3301w, Politics and Society with Aras Koksal Soc 3411w, Organizations and Society with David Knoke Soc 3613w, The Politics of Eating with Laura Garbes Soc 3721, Principles of Social Psychology with Michael Walker
I'm mostly concerned with taking an interesting class with a good professor, although having real world job applications would be nice as well. I already have my writing requirements done, so that part isn't important. The only one of these professors I've had before is Garbes, who I liked, but I'm not determined to pick another class just to have her again. The politics and Organizations classes would have the benefit of not needing to come to campus on Mondays and Wednesdays (I bike to campus and getting back and forth as winter sets in can be a pain), although the Politics one would have me on campus for quite a while on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
