About that Bilibili post killing the vibe (and why I think we still have to wait for something today)

(Reposting here since it got deleted on the main community, mods can go shoot themselves)

I get why people are spiraling right now, but I don’t think that Bilibili post is the nail in the coffin everyone is making it out to be.

A couple things feel off here.

First, the timing is way earlier than usual. Rockstar posted on Bilibili around two hours ago, and from what we’ve seen, Bilibili posts usually go up a few hours before the same thing hits X and the other socials. So if something was meant to drop around, say, 9 or 10 AM ET, then yeah, Bilibili getting it earlier would make sense.

But this one feels too early to immediately assume it’s today’s “main post.”

Second, the Red Dead Online post isn’t even new-new. That stuff already went up on the Rockstar Newswire last week. So to me, this feels more like them filling out content for the Chinese social account rather than signaling that today is just another RDO promo day everywhere.

And third, let’s be real. Rockstar is not going to casually reveal or tease GTA 6 hours early on Bilibili before everywhere else. That kind of announcement would almost definitely go live across all major platforms at the same time. Not because an early Bilibili post would totally kill the hype, but because it would absolutely weaken the surprise factor.

So yeah, the Bilibili post is weird, but I don’t think it confirms anything yet. If anything, the fact that it dropped this early and it’s based on old Newswire content makes me raise an eyebrow more than panic.

We still need to wait a few hours and see if Rockstar actually posts it elsewhere. Until then, I wouldn’t call it dead.

Saw this take on X and honestly the timing logic makes some sense. Rockstar probably would not want to drop GTA 6 Trailer 3 right on top of Take-Two’s earnings call, because Strauss Zelnick would need enough time to reference the trailer’s performance, viewership, engagement, and general hype during the call.

There is also the possibility that they avoid the same week as Forza Horizon 6, especially if early access starts on the 15th. Even though GTA 6 would obviously dominate attention, I think Rockstar usually seems to prefer having the stage completely to themselves.

So if Trailer 3 really is coming this month, this coming week may be the cleaner window. It gives the trailer time to do numbers before earnings and avoids competing with another major open-world/racing release window.

Little thing I noticed today while looking at Rockstars profile. Could be meaning something or absolutely nothing.
