For context. I have a full time job (4-10hr shifts) welding stainless and mild steel structures but the pay isnt that great.
After weeks of trying to find a part time welding job on indeed to work on the weekends with 0 luck. Im thinking about going around to a few of the smaller fab shops in my area and asking if they need an extra hand around the shop. Im not looking for much pay wise, just enough to help pay my bills and provide for my family.
Im just curious if this method would be seen as unprofessional/ disrespectful or if this would be a good way to get my name out there? Thanks for any advice on the matter.
