▲ 5 r/spiders
Since following this sub, I have become way more tolerant spiders, trying to relocate them outside instead of my old ways.
Yesterday, my grandson screamed "big spider! Big spider!"
I come over, and it's a little jumping spider. I tell them it's harmless and helpful, it's just curious and we should put him outside.
We get it on a piece of paper and start to take him out. Well, little spood decided he didn't like it and jumped off the paper. The kids all gathered around the spider asking if it was OK. It was...
...until one of my dogs came running over to see what everyone was looking at and stepped on the poor spood.
The kids were upset, saying "that was a good spider! No!"
We gave the little spood a simple burial in the front garden.
Progress!
