I just published the first chapter of my web novel ASTRAFERNO (it actually started as a comic idea)

Hey! Just wanted to share something I’ve been working on.

ASTRAFERNO originally began as a comic. The whole story was built with visuals in mind, character designs, specific scenes, that kind of storytelling. But I don’t have as much time as I’d like to fully commit to drawing right now, so instead of leaving it unfinished, I decided to start writing it as a web novel.

Writing lets me work on it whenever I can, which makes it a lot easier to stay consistent and actually move the project forward.

That said, the visual part is still really important to me. The current cover is just a placeholder for now, nothing final. If the project keeps going, I’ll redo it properly. I also plan to include my own illustrations in some chapters things like character art or key moments.

And I want to make this clear: I’m not using AI-generated art. I’d rather take my time and keep everything personal.

If people end up liking the story, I might even draw full scenes later on, closer to actual comic panels.

ASTRAFERNO It’s an urban fantasy with some horror elements and a slightly off narrator.

It follows a group of friends dealing with some… strange things during what should’ve been a normal night out. There are clubs, weird astral stuff, unsettling creatures, and a sarcastic talking sword that definitely doesn’t help.

If you give it a read, I’d really appreciate any thoughts, even just first impressions.

Thanks for your time :)
