I just got to know about via today through ChatGPT, so felt like sharing. It's a way to To skip Windows mixing entirely.
In Spotify app, you can find it under profile-settings-playback-output, select Device as your DAC and enable exclusive mode.
If your DAC isnt showing, check in windows settings, go to sound-more sound settings-select your dac-properties-advanced
Make sure under Exclusive Mode,
“Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device”
“Give exclusive mode applications priority”
Both are ticked, they should be ticked by default, if not enable them and apply.
