I’ve been trying to launch a DUPR session for 4.0+ play at my club with the same partner (YOUR CHOICE) for each 2-hr session or for an ongoing period (4-6 weekly sessions). Some folks are against it because they prefer to not have to commit to a single partner, yet I see playing with random partners as a poor way to assess your results and thereby provide a more accurate result towards your DUPR rating. Help me identify the weaknesses of playing with random partners. I see playing with a single partner as being more aligned to tournament play and complementing each other’s style of play.

Does anyone know if pickleball courts are typically constructed with a court surface that is grittier than tennis courts? It appears to me that the paint used on dedicated pickleball courts contain more grit (sand) which is added to the finish thereby giving it a rougher feel than a standard hard court for tennis. This may explain why pickleball players go through does faster than tennis players.
