2004 3.4L MT 4x4

The clutch fork pivot post broke off the bell housing. I’m guessing fatigue since it’s got 310k. Has anyone had any luck Tig welding the ear back on? Cheapest new clutch cover p/n 31111-35090 is about 750 shipped from the states and 450 ish from Japan with a long lead time. It’s not a daily driver so it can sit and wait for the new part if welding is not a viable solution. Thanks!
