Connecting electric power head to standard upright

Hello /r/vacuumcleaners! I am looking for some advice on adding a power head, specifically the Wessel Werk HEB 160, to my very standard issue humdrum bagged upright.

I have a Hoover Windtunnel UH 30301 that does a fine job. The only problem is that I have carpeted stairs and cats, and the included air-powered hand tool is simply not powerful enough for carpet.

I would like to connect the HEB 160 to my vacuum's wand. I need to figure out two things.

How can I power the HEB 160? The cheapest solution seems to be connecting it directly to wall power, but I am unsure of what adapter or pigtail connector I need to make it work.
Can anyone recommend an adapter to make it fit my wand/hose? Outer diameter is 1.75 inches and inner diamater is 1.5.
