Voluntary separation a no brainer?

Hi folks, first time dealing with this.

My company announced they will be laying off 30% of the company by the end of quarter.

They are doing a voluntary separation program for up to 20% of employees that will come with an enhanced severance package.

Enhanced severance with my tenure would be 22 weeks paid in a lump sum.

If I don’t volunteer and get laid off, the severance would be 16 weeks pay.

There is a possibility that I don’t get laid off, but I don’t have any true gauge on that.

I’m leaning toward taking the voluntary separation - I’ve been considering leaving and have been casually applying for jobs (less casually as of now). The uncertainty in the job market is the only thing making me hesitant. With emergency savings and lump sum payment, I think i’d be comfortable for at least 6 months without a job.

FWIW I’m 29, currently sales engineer with API specialty at a fintech Saas.

Just looking for an outside view - is it a no brainer to take the voluntary separation?
