Showtime Selection Contract - Orchestrator as CB/RB or native LB/RB to choose. Please help.

We’ve been given a chance to obtain a card through the Selection Contract. As it happens, there’s a wide choice when it comes to full-backs. I clearly lack this type of card in my squad, so I’ll definitely choose a full-back from the available options. However, I’d like to know which of the player progression setups I prepared would be the best in your opinion.

For example, would Kimmich be a worse choice because his Playing Style is Orchestrator, or considering that I currently use a fast Cannavaro at RB by changing his position from CB, would Kimmich actually be a good replacement, allowing Cannavaro to return to the center of defense where speed and acceleration are also extremely important?

Based on your knowledge and experience, how does Kimmich perform compared to Kadioglu? Thanks in advance for any valuable and insightful feedback.

I like using those super-subs ... I had a feeling that it will end like that. :)

I’ve been dealing with constant connection issues during my league matches, so I decided to check what’s actually going on with how the matchmaking algorithm assigns servers. All league matches I play in 5 bar connection.

Online games live or die by connection quality. My internet setup is about as good as it gets. I’m on 300 Mbps fiber in Poland from Orange Polska, which is basically top tier in terms of stability and performance. In PvP League, Konami claims matches are hosted across multiple server locations. There’s even an official list of cities, and Warsaw is on it. So in theory, most of my matches should be handled by the Warsaw server. But is that actually happening? I decided to find out.

On the first screenshot you can see a list of connections from eFootball.exe during one of my league matches. These are the IPs the game was communicating with. Here’s how they map out location wise:

USA

144.150.116.34
54.186.134.180
54.75.189.15
44.253.62.201
52.17.66.114
54.186.134.180

Ireland/Dublin (London?)

54.75.189.15

So that’s six connections to servers in the US and one to an Irish IP according to iplocation.net. On the official Konami page listing server locations for ranked and tournament matches in Europe, Ireland isn’t even mentioned. I doubt this is P2P with an Irish player. More likely the tool is slightly off and that IP actually points to London, which happens sometimes with these services. Still, it’s pretty wild that instead of connecting me to Warsaw, or at least something nearby like Germany, I’m getting routed this far away.

So here’s my situation. Konami has servers in Warsaw, yet I’m being connected to something that’s most likely in London. For connection quality, that difference is massive. It explains perfectly why around 95 percent of my matches feel laggy to the point of being barely playable. My inputs feel delayed compared to my opponents. Almost every action on my side is noticeably slower. Opponent players react faster, accelerate quicker, and there’s no weird slow motion effect on their end. Meanwhile I’m stuck dealing with all the usual issues that come with playing on a distant server.

At that point I’m basically out of the game before it even starts. Winning becomes a matter of luck. Skill and experience don’t really matter.

I’d say I’m somewhere around a Division 2 level player. I don’t take the game super seriously and I’m not even trying to push for Division 1. I just want to have fun. But clearly not everyone is being treated equally here. I’m pretty sure there’s a large group of players with solid internet setups who still can’t get results that match their actual skill level.

And just to be clear, it’s not even about results. I care about having a smooth, responsive gameplay experience. I’d be totally fine playing in Division 4 if the matches actually felt good. Right now they just don’t meet even the basic standard you’d expect from an online game.

So how many of you eFootball “lovers” feel like your results don’t reflect your actual skill and experience?

I also included speed test results in the screenshots to show what my connection looks like under normal conditions.

First of all, I'd like to apologize for the video quality. However, I think it's sufficient for a post discussing technical details.

This is what a league match between two players from Poland looks like.
As far as I can tell, both of us were connected to KONAMI servers in Warsaw.
The Network Graph from my screenshot shows that practically the entire match was played at the highest possible connection quality.
I don’t think it was any different for my opponent.

P2P matches are even worse, because in modes that use P2P, 99% of matchmaking pairs you with a 4-bar connection quality.
That’s why I gave up trying to get promoted beyond Division 3. In my case, it simply makes no sense, because my skill level has virtually no impact.

The match I’m showing you is against a Division 2 player. I believe he’s actually a better player than the match and result suggests. I have no reason to think that our match proved who is better at the game. I think a large number of players experience the same issue, and many who could easily compete at Division 2 level or higher are unable to get promoted for this exact reason.

What you see in the video is the better part of the match. Before I started recording, especially in the first half, it looked much worse. It had nothing to do with football.

Best proof this match was deeply lagged, you can find on 03:21.

To sum up, the online experience is so poor that even a 5-bar connection often results in extremely heavy lag.
