Updated No Fusion Feature Request List
The recent TestFlight and Stable updates have really elevated the app. Along with some great PR from photography YouTubers, this community has really grown, too. In its current state, here are a few things high on my list for feature requests.
Batch Edits/Copy Edits for Negative Film in No Fusion Gallery. Currently if I capture a set of photos with the K1 filter and later decide I like the look of the G2 filter + Bloom at 1 + Grain at 2 for that same group of photos, I have to engage with them each one by one. Creating a way for these types of Negative Film edits would bring the app one step closer to being a "Lightroom Lite" with its basic modification of photos.
Portrait Mode - The effect still seems a bit too strong in No Fusion, from my perspective. The portrait mode depth on iPhone goes from f1.4 to f16, and it's rare that a picture captured with Machine Learning portrait depth in No Fusion can go any lower than f14 or f16 without becoming incredibly blurry. Mood.camera does the best job of this in my experience.
HEIF vs. HEIF+ quick toggle in Negative Film box. u/spacegrey0223 was gracious enough to add a "direct output to HEIF+" toggle for Negative Film and I've generally left it on because I don't take huge batches of photos and would rather not add the extra step to convert from HEIF to HEIF+ day to day. However, occasionally it's of value to have the speed and resource saving of output to HEIF, like a recent trip to the zoo where I knew I'd be taking 25-30 pics of my kids. I changed to HEIF output and converted to HEIF+ later, but I believe there is room for that toggle to become a quick toggle in the gray Negative Film box containing pipeline, rather than having to dive deep into settings to find it.
Low Light Output/Night Mode - This is a tougher nut to crack, but I know u/spacegrey0223 had it on his road map. Some apps like Project Indigo have put out usable Night Modes, and it would be an enhancement to have a comparable No Fusion offering.
The app continues to be excellent - keep up the great work!
