5’1” 122 lbs — doing everything “right” but can’t lose fat in tummy/inner thighs/arms. Need advice 😭
Hi everyone, I’m 5’1” and around 122 lbs. 26F. I’ve basically been this same weight my entire adult life, and I feel stuck because I genuinely feel like I’m doing everything right but not seeing much change in my body composition.
Right now:
- eating around 1300–1600 calories/day
- getting 80–100g protein daily
- mostly healthy home-cooked meals
- I don’t really snack
- sober/no alcohol
- rarely eat sweets or treats
- very disciplined with food overall
- not on birth control ( was on iud for 5 yrs, im in my 2nd year off of it)
Activities:
- Lagree 2–3x/week
- walking around 4–7k steps/day
- recently started strength training workout classes 2x/week this month
My biggest problem areas are:
- lower tummy
- inner thighs
- arms
I know spot reduction isn’t real, but those areas just don’t seem to change at all. I’m not trying to become super skinny — I just want to lean out a bit and look more toned.
I guess I’m confused because I feel like my habits are already pretty solid, yet I don’t really see noticeable results. Especially as someone petite, I know even a few pounds can make a visual difference, but my body seems very resistant to change.
For other petites who successfully leaned out:
what finally worked for you?
did you need to increase activity more?
lower calories?
focus more on progressive overload?
was it just consistency + time?
Would really appreciate honest advice because I’m feeling discouraged lately 😅
