I’ve been researching headphones for producing/mixing hip hop beats, and currently I’m split between the Beyer DT 770 Pro and the FiiO FT1. My budget is around $150-$180, and I’m looking for closed ear headphones for home use. I’m leaning towards the FT1s because I don’t need perfect audio but I still want them to be pleasant to work with while still being accurate when mixing. Comfort wise they both seem good, and as far as I can tell they both will last me a long time. The only real pair of headphones I’ve owned have been the Sony XM5s, which I like for casual listening but they are not good for music production. Any tips?
