Yesterday the head coach told me I won the Transformation Challenge, so figured I’d share what worked for me.

I joined Orangetheory on January 28 after a long hiatus. Before that I was just lifting and doing some cardio here and there, nothing like OTF.

First body scan was January 31. Then I stuck to 3–4 classes a week for 8 weeks. Final scan was March 21.

In 8 weeks, I went from 227.0 lb to 218.1 lb (−8.9 lb).

Body fat went from 29.8% to 24.8% (−5.0%).

Skeletal muscle went from 91.7 lb to 94.4 lb (+2.7 lb).

As of today, I’m down to 213 lb, so still keeping it going after the challenge.

What worked for me:

• Just being consistent, even on days I didn’t feel like going

• Hitting 12+ splat points most classes

• Staying in a calorie deficit

• Eating lower carbs/sugar and higher protein

• Taking advantage of 90 min classes whenever I could (those extra calories burned add up fast)

Funny how diet and exercise actually works 😂 no secrets

Work has been insanely busy and I’m also studying for my architecture license exams, so honestly winning this feels even better.

Kinda a bummer my studio isn’t doing announcements this year, but still really happy with the result.

Also curious… any ideas on what to do with the cash prize? I’d like to use part of it to give something back to the studio and the coaches that made this possible.
