I’ve bought a pioneer controller to get on to rekordbox and moving from DjayPro to rekordbox hasn’t been as much of an issue as I thought’s I’ve sync’s play list etc and it’s been ok, the one thing that is really annoying is the beat grids, they are all off!! Why is this? Is it something. In my settings, or rekordbox issues? I’m not DJing at the moment I am resetting everything.

Is there a way to import beat grids or re analyse them at all?

I’m strictly “DJing” for fun at home, I feel I have nailed the basics like beat matching, phrasing and mixing in key. And my mixes go happily from one track to the next, but I feel I am lacking in terms of building momentum and tension.

How did you overcome/learn this?

update: loads of helpful comments, thank you, I like to mainly play UKG or garage,
I do record everything and stick it on soundcloud, I have had some decent feedback from it.
The other bit of feedback is about listening to other
dJs i do this as often as I can mainly in tik tok, but with kids it not too easy to go out as often as I used to.
