Hi everyone. My house is from the 1940s and sound travels too well throughout the house. This means that opening and closing doors, cabinets, etc. are heard throughout a large majority of the house no matter where it is being done.

I recently purchased some car sound deadener pads in the hopes that, if placed strategically, they would absorb some of this sound.

Has anyone had any experience doing this, good or bad? Any other strategies people may suggest?
