This is some artwork I created for my book series. I’m very proud of how this one turned out. I figured DarkArts was the perfect place to share it.
Southpaw may be dead and ‘living’ in Hell, but he’s still just a cat. Meaning, he only thinks about himself, sleeping, and food!
I spent the last 6 years developing and writing a humorous dark fantasy in Hell. Some days I hated it. Some days I loved it. But I kept at it. I’m very proud of the book it became. I wanted this version of the deep, Deep South to feel almost magical!
The street lamps blink hello. The doors open and close of their own accord. They aren’t automatic. They’re simply polite. And even the cars drive themselves, sometimes very badly. Be careful when you buy one at Honest Scam’s Barely Used Car Lot! This is a living, breathing ghost town. Welcome to Mourning.
And then there’s Deadbeat Creep, the skeleton with a beating heart. Unfortunately, a heart is always the first thing exploited in life or death. But Deadbeat is 100% death-proof that dying can change you in ways you never imagined, and he’s about to raise some serious Hell!
