Private clinics and long-term cost effective?
Hi,
I'm wondering if it's more cost effective in the long run to go private with Gendergp or gendercare then hopefully swap to shared care with my own gp?
I know Gendergp has some controversy around it, but I'm 17 (nearly 18) and currently looking for jobs so my mum will be funding me going private for the mean time, so I don't want this to financially drain her. We live in Belfast, N.Ireland If that makes a difference to anything.
I know for Gendergp you have to pay £30 month to keep your subscription active as well as £50-70 for your hrt itself. However, I've heard people say to use gendercare because although at the start it's expensive roughly £1000+ after they have everything sorted and you're on hrt you can then possibly get shared care with your gp and the nhs (?) Making the price of your hrt about £10 with no additional monthly fees.
If I'm missing any information please let me know! Advice would be greatly appreciated, even if it's advice recommending other private clinics, but I've chosen these two because of how cost effective they seem in the scale of things.
