STM. With our first, we boiled our water and didn't think twice. We've since moved into a home and have a water softener due to hard water in our area. My baby is 11 days old now. We've just been boiling water as usual and a thought popped into my head "is water from a water softener safe?" Needless to say I'm now spiraling as it says online that it isn't safe and can cause kidney damage to my baby. She's been acting totally normal with normal urine output and she is such a happy baby. We've switched to exclusively doing distilled water, but I just can't help but think I'm terrible for putting her in a vulnerable position even though I had no idea.
