Hi, I’m a newbie to the community, and would like to know if it’s wise to use TP-Link routers designed for the Chinese market (in my case for a homelab). I struck a good deal and purchased one second hand without realising it was entirely in Chinese and expressed the need to connect through tplogin.cn. Without getting into politics, I’ve read articles about security concerns surrounding TP-Link routers, and AI assistants suggested I revise my firewall settings if I were to connect it to my network.

Is this actually a good idea, or should I avoid using it altogether? Any advice would be much appreciated!
