it looks like no one learned their lesson last year. we will see how much, if any, of this survives congress. I personally wouldn't bank on it.

Let me start by saying that I'm just venting and am not going to file any type of complaint or anything like that. We get the time off and that's nice and I don't want to ruin it for everyone else.

That being said, it's bullshit. I don't hate that we're getting a 3 hr early release. I hate WHY we are getting it. It's another Christian Nationalist move, prioritizing one religion over others. We didn't get time for Eid. We don't get time for Diwali. We don't get time for any Jewish holidays. If Easter were a federal holiday like Christmas, sure, but it isn't.

Edit: for everyone saying this is 100% fine, I look forward to seeing you loudly advocate for this same treatment for every other religion.
