Can raters add conditions to claims?
So, today I got the texts and emails that my decision letter was complete. I went to check the VA app. My rating is showing, as well as my decision letter. I noticed in my decision letter that a condition that I did not have on my claim was added, and is showing as "deferred." My claim is also still showing as active, and is now back on Step 4. Did the rater see something in my C&P and add a condition for me? If so, why would they have deferred that rating and sent the claim back to evidence review after issuing the decision letter?
This is my first claim, and I have been anxious about the whole process, so I just wanted to take a shot and see if anyone else had experienced something similar.
EDIT: Thanks for the responses. Exactly what I needed to hear! I claimed and was rated for multiple knee and back diagnoses, and they added a condition for my hips, so that all tracks.
