Hi everyone, I know there has been a number of questions regarding A2W but I wanted to ask;
I applied within 6 weeks of starting my new job and my case manager at DWP has confirmed there will be no employer contribution required (100% funded by DWP).
I requested things such as a new larger monitor, a new sit/stand desk, etc and wanted to ask how the funding works.
I am not sure what each of the funding levels are for my equipment (I am waiting on final confirmation) but lets use a hypothetical level for the purposes of this post.
If the applicant applied within 6 weeks of starting their job, is the equipment purchased by the applicant who then requests reimbursement from DWP?
If DWP awards me, say £600 for a sit stand desk, am I able to purchase a desk which costs £1000 and only have DWP reimburse me for £600, meaning I pay £400 towards the desk.
Similar to the above, if DWP awards me £500 for a new monitor, am I able to buy a monitor which costs £800 which would mean I am paying £300 towards the cost of the monitor.
Are my hypothetical costs somewhat accurate? How much is DWP likely to fund towards a sit/stand desk?
