10 weeks out from my first Ironman , when I started training 8 months ago I couldn’t run basically a 5k without shin splints , have been building it up slowly and it’s been progressing well with longest run being 20k , although the other night I got a bit carried away and done 10k in a lot faster pace than I have ever done before and I have had pain in my hamstring since , lower hamstring leading to behind my knee , it’s not really painful to walk more just feel like almost a pull/tightness , I have took a few days off and iced etc , should I try strengthening or take a week off and start back up slowly ?
