Sorry, I don’t know what kind of tree it is. It’s an established tree and it’s not budding on most of the branches. It’s over 10 years old and about two stories tall

I did do some trimming in early February of what I could reach on the lower half. Last year the leave at the very top were dying so I figured there was too many limbs so I cut some that would cause issues. Nothing too major.

We did see a few days of freeze in the Spring that killed the initial growth, but that’s come back.

The branches that aren’t budding are NOT dry and dead. They can bend without braking.

Is it just time or does it need more water…?
