American Gen. 2 Standard .223 better precision?
I have my American Gen. 2 for about 3 Month. I did hope, that for some magical reasons this kinda cheap rifle would perform like my RPR with a lighter stock and barrel.
Sadly I had to realize, that this might not be how it works/how it will work.
The Rifle is chambered in .223 and has the standard 20" barrel.
I tried like 10 different ammunition from 52 BTHP to 77 BTHP. From Hornady to Federal. I can't get a really tight group at 100m.
I would be happy with like 2cm/0,78" group but it's always 10cm/4", at best maybe 4cm/2".
Is this kinda be the norm or could there be something wrong with the rifle? I looked at the barrel with my borescope, but couldn't see anything bad.
The rifle has about 150-200 rounds through it.
At the moment I'm considering selling my RAR again and getting something "nicer". Bust because I'm in germany it's not so easy. Thats the reason why I wanna try everything before selling it again.
I'm btw open to a new stock. But I'm kinda skeptical if a new stock would help the precision problem.
And yeah, I torqued every screw like it says in the manual. I did use a bipod and bag to stabilize the rifle.
Maybe, just maybe anyone has an idea, what I could try to get this thing working like I hoped it would do. Or maybe you say "This is the normal performance, live with it".
