I got dragged into Galaxy War 1…
How it started:
In the beginning of my game I found a pre-ftl civilization with ethics matching my own which I decided to uplift and then create a Research federation with them.
Little did I know, this was my first mistake…
What I was unaware at the time is my little buddy was inviting other empire into the research federation without me knowing, than those empire invited other empires and so on and so forth.
I was too busy trying to subdue the Gray Tempest (that I may or may not have accidentally unleashed upon the galaxy) to notice that my federation had gotten 6-8 members, all who happen to be materialist (this will be somewhat important later)
Even after I conquered the L-Cluster I still have not even looked at my federation as I went fully focused on increasing my navy as I was doing an all crisis run and was preparing for such, thus I had amassed the strongest fleets in the whole galaxy.
This was my second mistake.
Year 2400 rolls around and a crisis is due to appear soon, when suddenly I get a million notifications. Confused I looked to see I am at war with the OTHER largest federation in the galaxy, which happens to be a Holy Covenant with all members being spiritualist. I didnt even see the vote to go to war, if there was even one.
Due to my massive fleet power one of the members of my federation decided it could win any war it wanted, so it declared war on its neighbor who happens to be apart of that holy covenant. Not only did the AI declare war on the largest federation in the galaxy but they did it with the intention of WIPING THEM OUT…
ALL OF THEM.
You would have to scroll down both sides to see how many empires were involved in the war, the only people not involved in the war were the Fanatical Purifiers laughing their butts off and eating popcorn while watching the entire galaxy kill each other because one empire looked at another the wrong way.
TLDR: Dont create a federation with AI empires or you will be in Galaxy War 1.
