Hiya! I need some vacation ideas! My unbelievably generous boss is gifting my partner and I a week-long vacation for mental health relaxation. (Like hello, I didn't believe it either). At first he wanted to send us to Cabo San Lucas to his favorite all inclusive resort, but I don't have my passport. We also don't have any desire to go to Cabo (both of us do want to go to Scotland or do a general Europe tour but that is dreaming in the far future that may never happen). ANYWAY, my boss said to pick a place and he'd fund everything.

After a few days of letting this sink in (because we've never made that kind of money to even think about all inclusive anythings), I realize that we don't even know how to pick from an unlimited options, most of which we don't even know are there. Any vacation we've done has been to Disneyland. Which we don't want to do (nor any sort of amusement park).

So please! Any ideas as to where we should take our mental health vacation would be wonderful!

Here's a little bit about us:

-We live in Washington State. We're willing to drive anywhere in the state or to Idaho or Oregon. Also willing to fly, but if we fly, I don't want to bother with a rental car.

-While massages and pampering is nice, I know my partner would get antsy with nothing but spa activity for a week.

-We enjoy the outside but not outdoorish activities like hiking or biking. We'd be down for boating tours or zipline tours or nature tours.

-We LOVE rocks and minerals.

-We love nerdy games, shows, and games (Sanderson Cosmere, LOTR, Star Wars, etc).

-We enjoy true crime and documentaries (I know there are some museums and tours).

EDIT TO ADD: We will be traveling anytime between now (beginning of May) and the first week in July. It's a short timeframe that both my partner and I have complete flexibility without my partner's children and both our work schedules. (OMG y'all are amazing with your suggestions! I can assure you we are looking at each one!)
