Cycling between Constipation/Diarrhea

I had my first couple bites of a pretty plain sub, first thing I ate today. Also the most proper thing I’ve eaten since I’ve had those eggs from the GES. Now I have diarrhea and it’s been a common thing.

I’ll go from constipation for weeks and then boom, outta nowhere diarrhea/soft stools. It makes my stomach feel worse than before and there is no in between.

I was given stuff for my constipation but it made me so sick and constantly having diarrhea, that I stopped taking it. I might need to go to a lower dose but I’m afraid if I go lower it won’t do anything. I’ve tried stool softeners and laxatives but they did nothing.

I’m so tired of this all and I just wanna function normally without fearing I might get sick or have no energy in my day to day routines, including work.

Just got my results back…

Hi, I’m a 24 yr old female and I just got my results back and my Gastroenterologist says I have gastroparesis. Before my test she already said to start trying to have to 5-6 small small meals. With how finicky my stomach is, it’s impossible for me to do so. If I do even just a small amount over what my stomach can handle at the time, I get nausea and bloated. It’s almost like it doesn’t matter what I try I always feel sick.

I was only able to just get the eggs down and I had 27% at 240 minutes. I felt so gross and disgusting after eating and tried not to get sick, in which I was successful in doing so.

I’m just so lost on what to do to help, I’m 93 lbs and sometimes get down into the 80’s. Liquid nutrition causes nausea, most if not all the time.

I don’t know what to do to help gain weight and actually feel good after eating.

I was prescribed Omeprazole beforehand for my acid reflux but nothing seems to help me actually want to eat. I wanna be able to eat to enjoy not because I need something in me because I haven’t eaten for the day.

I’m happy to know that there is a term for what I’m going through and others going through it, but I just don’t know how to deal.

~~Any tips or suggestions on how to deal with this? What is the typical way to help with gastroparesis that’s not 5-6 small meals?

I do have a follow up appointment with my Gastroenterologist, but it’s not till the 29th (20 days after my results).

(Sorry for the long winded paragraph)
