I am pretty new to listening to and enjoying metal music. I have found I really enjoy it when the vocals are clean and really beautiful with the heavy riffs and power underneath it all. I also really enjoy a good scream if it is something that is worked up to and not overly prevalent in the song. I want it to feel like it is working towards it in the breakdown not just relying on it constantly. Any help for songs or bands that fit the bill for this would be wonderful. Bonus points for female vocalists and anything with a more progressive vibe.
Currently enjoying and exploring (though they dont all fit this description so if there is other similar shoot it my way): Spiritbox, breakkaway, Throne of Want - Cenobia, Sleep Token, Boston Manor
Also a big fan of hip hop and edm so things with influences from electronic and rap work pretty well for me.
