I’m wondering if our humidity issue is due to the type of unit that was installed or if it being oversized(4 ton vs 3 ton) for our 2nd floor might be the issue.
We have a separate system for our 2nd story which is 1500 square feet. Originally installed 3 ton 24ANA7 compressor with FE4A variable speed coil. Same installer replaced it with a 4 ton ECM TXV with FJMA coil.
We used it for a summer and the humidity was difficult to control and over 60% on some days. We’ve been told we can replace it with another Carrier Infinity FE5B and 24VNA to reduce the humidity because it has the variable speed vs our current unit. The Heil was the suggestion from our installer originally for some reason.
