I have stored nail polish in my cabinet for years with no trouble. Today, I went to paint my nails and noticed a bottle in the corner was slightly stuck to the wall of the cabinet. It appears as if some of the chemicals in the polish leached into the cabinet! When I removed it, it looks like there is a hollow plastic bubble in the corner of the cabinet. The nail polish bottle that was stuck is clean, sealed tightly, and appears perfectly fine.

What exactly happened??
