Best suits around €500 (EU/UK friendly) – fit advice needed
Looking for a solid 2-piece suit for a conservative job interview in about a month.
Budget: ~€500 or under (happy to use sales/discounts or buy online)
Requirements:
- 100% wool only
- Colour: preferably dark grey/charcoal, navy also fine
- Classic/conservative look (nothing flashy)
- Regular cut, especially trousers (I have slightly fuller thighs, don’t want slim/tight fit)
My measurements:
- Height: 6’1” (185cm), ~70kg
- Chest: 38” → need approx ~21” pit-to-pit on jacket
- Shoulders: ideally ~17–17.5”
- Sleeve: ~25”+
- Waist: ~31” (but need room in seat/thigh)
I’ve tried going the used route (Vinted, eBay etc.) but keep running into issues:
- Shoulders fit but chest too tight
- Trousers fit waist but too slim in thighs
- Or length is off
Brands I’ve looked at so far:
- M&S Sartorial line (can get one around €280 with discount)
- Hunter Treacy (made in Italy, ~€350 on sale)
- Next (regular fit wool suits)
Suitsupply(They are getting so pricey these days also tight trousers)
Main concern now is just getting something that actually fits properly without loads of tailoring.
Any recommendations for:
- Specific brands/models that run more “regular” in cut
- Good EU/UK retailers with easy returns (to Ireland)
- Anything I should be prioritising at this price point
Appreciate any help.
