My senior parents have a sienna made in the last 5ish years (v6, apparently before the hybrid models), and they've gotten into a medical situation where they're asking me to fly out and help them drive. And out that way is a family camper I'm thinking about hooking up to the van to move it across the midwest.

It has a 2" receiver, and the camper is a Rockwell A-Frame popup, about 2200 lbs. The van doesn't have any extra towing package. I'm less worried about the brakes, than I am for the transmission and AWD pieces.

Is this safe for their car? I'm used to having put in extra transmission cooling and the like for older minivans.
