Hi everyone,
I’m trying to figure out the best path to work in the U.S. under a TN visa and would really appreciate any insights.

Here’s my situation:
I have an accounting diploma
I also hold a bachelor’s degree, but it’s in an unrelated field (not accounting)

My goal is to work in accounting in the U.S., possibly by getting the USCPA.

My questions:

  1. If I complete the USCPA, would my background (non-accounting bachelor’s + accounting diploma) be an issue for TN visa approval? Has anyone had experience with this kind of profile getting accepted or rejected?
  2. Would it be safer or more straightforward to transfer credits and complete a full bachelor’s degree in accounting instead?
  3. How strict are TN visa requirements when it comes to having a “relevant” degree for accounting roles?
Any advice, experiences, or suggestions would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!
