Is “PPOR maxxing” now the best strategy?
After this budget, I’m starting to think the optimal strategy is literally just:
- Buy the best PPOR you can realistically afford
- Hold it forever
- Build offset
- Leverage any equity
- Maybe debt recycle slowly
- Avoid overextending into multiple IPs
Feels like the government basically just made owner-occupied housing even more powerful relative to everything else.
Anyone else thinking this?
