suggestions on deer/big game rifles
hello readers new the gun and hunting hobby and looking to buy a deer/ big game rifle soon and wanted to get some opinions, I'm form Sothern Saskatchwan Canada and am looking to go deer hunting this season and fingers crossed bag my first ever but first i need to buy a rifle so far im looking into .308 and 6.5 just form what i have googled, The biggest rifle i have shot is a .223 any suggestions on what caliber and gun for caliber u suggest let me know what u have pictures are welcome
i dow own a few guns 2 old bolt 22 one older bolt 30-30 one older pump .270 2 older 12g
brand new 17 hmr leaver action
gun suggestion criteria
species. deer/big game
location. Sothern Sask maybe northern also
my skill is beginner
budget thinking 1-2.5k ish
yards for the beginning probably 200-500 but would like to target shoot and increase that
bolt action newer style not wooden body polymer or something like it
