My crow friend approached ME today!

I'm so excited, I've only been feeding them for around a week or so now. Already they come when I call in the morning/afternoon, and as of yesterday I'm starting to see the 2nd one show up more frequently, though it's certainly more skittish.

Today I was out in the yard watching my dog do her business, and he came and landed on the power lines directly over where I was standing! I did the same warbling whistle I've been doing to call them and stepped inside to get peanuts.

The 2nd crow showed up too and they flew around for a few mins (I left the peanuts closer to the patio, but they weren't having it lol).

So I put the peanuts on the normal spot on the shed and went back across the yard to sit on the patio. I figured since he approached me today, maybe he'd let me stay outside while he ate. And he did! It took a couple mins of him watching other birds go at the peanuts before he hopped onto the garage then over to the shed to eat, but I'm so excited! I've wanted a crow friend forever and I'm so glad to be slowly earning his trust.

Making my first crow friend!

Less than a week and he already comes to my call, I've been doing this warbling whistle. So far this is the closest he'll get, but even if he never comes closer I'm happy haha. There's a 2nd one I see with him frequently, but I never see that one come down. He likes the peanuts, planning to try some berries next week 😊
