I just had my house repiped due to 40 years of sulphur build up in the copper pipes. It was highly recommended that I get an aom sulphur filter to eliminate the sulphur gas in the lines. I’m a handy guy and don’t want to pay someone to install it so I’m looking for recommendations as to what filter I should get.

I also have a water softener which eliminates most of the iron in the water (about 1ppm after the softener). I’m guessing I should put the sulphur filter before the water softener or am I wrong in assuming that?
Or am I better getting a sulphur/iron combo filter. I read that strict sulphur filters require little to no maintenance where as the iron/sulphur combo requires media changes more frequently. The 1 ppm of iron doesn’t bother me seems I can’t taste it and it’s not staining the house or clothes. So that’s why I’m leaning towards the strict sulphur filter.

Any truth to that?
Thanks in advance for any advice you might have!
