Routine procedure 8 year old daughter. Dentist dropped a sharp drill bit down her throat. Extremely unprofessional environment preceding this and directly after. No knowledge of protocol and panic amongst staff after it occurred. Spent 2 days in the hospital while it passed. The emotional damage from this is going to last the rest of her life. She has to go to another dentist to finish the procedure and she just breaks down and loses it when its brought up. Looking for advice on how to proceed legally? Tried contacting a few lawyers locally and got denied with no explanation.
