So I knew this game was coming out but I didn’t expect it to be on gamepass, was it shadow dropped or did I miss the announcement?
I know the game went viral because of the bored anime cute girl showcase they were doing. All the gooners have been losing their minds….. ✋ lol

I say recommendation, but really what I’m recommending here is not the bulk of the game itself but its absolutely phenomenal and sweeping soundtrack. Seriously this game has one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard in a Very. Long. Time.

The game itself is serviceable in every way.
It doesn’t do anything remarkable and it doesn’t do anything bad.
I seen a review by a popular publisher complaining extensively about the fluidity of the controls. And it’s one of those things where I had to think “did we play the same game?” The controls are absolutely fine.
Didn’t have any problems and actually felt the controls were snappy for the most part. Unrealistically so, to be frank. And that’s my only complaint for the controls is that the actual motion and animation of the character has no weight behind it or any real since of realism you usually get with these kinds of crevice crawler type Sony single player experiences. The female protag controls like bugsby or sonic or something lol
My main takeaway is the game has an interesting premise that will keep a sci-fi fans attention, has serviceable writing, gameplay, and overall story.
But great environmental set pieces and a fkn monumental banger of a soundtrack that is hands down going to be my gaming soundtrack of the year without a shadow of a doubt. No surprise there, it’s Don’t Nod we’re talking about. Say what you want about their titles(most I’d agree with as I’m not usually a fan of their work) but they are great at soundtracks. Absolutely play this game if you want to hear a fantastic soundtrack that happens to have a serviceable game attached to it with very pretty vistas and landscapes of an alien world. That’s my recommendation. But at least play it.

Also I recommend lowering the lighting way down past a normal recommendation for a game, idk why but it really makes the games atmosphere and environments pop in a way that they didn’t when it was set at normal or even normally low settings. It also makes the darker and creeper parts actually dark and look closer the part. Definitely recommend doing that 👍
