Nova Ves 18.

For me, The Frame was a game changer when I bought one 5 years ago. I cannot think of TV in classic terms anymore. It's so natural to have the TV on a wall blended with other pictures, instead having humongous monolithic piece of tech with cables all around the room. This was so strong of an argument for my family that I was willing to sacrifice top-notch specs.

The key feature for The Frame was not actually having unified thin design with zero-gap mounting system and exchangeable frames - other have it too now - but - along with matte coating - having external box connected with impressive, thin and semi-transparent One Connect Cable. After more than half a decade, it's still only Samsung that has something like that, and it's a killer feature. It's probably too expensive for other brands to copy it, so it's very competitive feature that sells Samsung's art TV.

Because it was so succesful, I hoped Frame will evolve to become actually competitive TV for watching movies and playing games by upgrading them to FA miniLED tech at least. But it seems it will not just NOT become that, but be downgraded in favor of Samsung's new economic policy - One Connect Cable is gone. Because One Connect Cable is probably very expensive to manufacture for midrange TVs, and is also very attractive feature, they decided to remove it from midrange TVs, even from it's native Frame line, to be included only in highest range series - and maybe only as an option. This practically means death for The Frame line, because it's original feature is lacking, requiring all cables to be connected directly to the screen chassis.

So The Frame will be sacrificed to give flagships it's greatest feature which made it so popular.

Here, the Frame Pro remains the fraud - it's actually more expensive for what might be less expensive solution - it has wireless one connect box, but they do not have to manufacture actual expensive one connect cable, I'm pretty confident wireless tech is a cheaper method. And it's inferior to wired option.

It's time to say goodbye to The Frame. Maybe in the future they will revive this by introducing Premium line of art TVs, but the fact is that flagships are already that, they have almost all features, except maybe custom frames. The problem is that they are utterly expensive, leaving us the midrange folks dry. This happens when you don't have proper competition on the market.
